Sign Multi-year Robotic Monitoring Contract
Tekcapital plc (AIM: TEK), the UK intellectual property investment group focused on creating valuable products that can improve people's lives, is pleased to announce that Guident CORP, a leader in AI-enabled safety and remote monitoring solutions, announced a 36-month agreement with Coastal Waste & Recycling (https://www.coastalwasteinc.com), ("Coastal"), a leading provider of waste and recycling services with over 40 locations throughout Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
The expanded agreement includes deployment of WatchBot™ autonomous inspection robots, Guident's AI-powered software platform, and ongoing operational support services designed to enhance safety, automate inspections, and standardize monitoring.
Under the agreement, the robots will conduct autonomous facility patrols and on-site inspections, while Guident's AI software platform analyzes collected data, manages alerting, and supports centralized workflow management. The integrated system enables thermal inspections, early fire detection on loaded trucks, asset damage identification, personal protective equipment compliance monitoring, tank cage checks, and other site-specific safety routines.
"Safety is central to how we operate, and this three-year agreement reflects our long-term commitment to investing in technologies that protect our people and assets," said Chad Abell, Vice President, EHS & Engineering at Coastal. "By deploying Guident's integrated safety solution, including autonomous inspection robots and an AI-enabled software platform, our teams gain real-time visibility into potential risks, enabling earlier intervention and more consistent safety standards."
"We're enthusiastic to expand our long-term partnership with Coastal through this 36-month agreement," said Harald Braun, Executive Chairman and CEO of Guident. "By combining autonomous inspection robotics with our AI-powered software platform, coupled with ongoing operational support, we're delivering a turn-key safety solution designed to reduce risk, improve inspection consistency, and strengthen operational oversight."
The agreement reflects a shared commitment to advancing AI-enabled safety infrastructure within the waste and recycling sector and Coastal's industry leadership. By integrating robotics, intelligent monitoring software, and managed services under a unified deployment model, the collaboration aims to deliver measurable improvements in safety performance, operational reliability, and risk management.
"We are excited about Guident's continued commercial progress. Their transition from pilot contracts to long-term commercial agreements is well underway, and we anticipate continued revenue growth across mobility, robotics and public transportation markets. Following their successful fundraising of US$2 million in May 2026, Guident continues to work diligently towards a public listing in 2026, which we believe has the potential to further crystallize balance sheet value and broaden participation in its scale-up." said Dr. Clifford Gross, Executive Chairman of Tekcapital.
