NHS England MT-RNR1 national tender

PALOH-UK recruitment complete; NICE technology appraisal

NHS England published a preliminary market engagement notice on 21 April 2026 for rapid MT-RNR1 neonatal testing, targeting go-live in July 2027. A UK clinical guideline of 3 August 2026 named Genedrive's kit. On 11 August 2026 PALOH-UK recruitment completed (nearly 6,000 babies, 14 NICUs), analysis is under way with publication around October 2026, the kit exited NICE EVA for technology appraisal, and NHS England gave a tender notice date of 1 January 2027.
