Appointment of Chief Operating Officer
United Oil & Gas Plc has appointed Donal Meehan as Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately, to strengthen its management team and enhance operational and commercial capabilities. Meehan, who previously served as Head of Commercial, brings over 20 years of upstream oil and gas experience, including leadership roles at ExxonMobil and Providence Resources plc, and has a strong background in reservoir engineering, commercial negotiations, and deepwater exploration. This appointment is timely as the company advances its Walton-Morant farm-out process in Jamaica and prepares for a new phase of development, aiming to build a stronger and broader business.

United Oil & Gas Plc (AIM: "UOG"), the oil and gas company with a high-impact exploration asset in Jamaica and a development asset in the UK, is pleased to announce the appointment of Donal Meehan as Chief Operating Officer (non-board appointment) effective immediately.
Donal previously served as United's Head of Commercial and brings over 20 years of upstream oil and gas experience across senior reservoir engineering, commercial and leadership positions. He began his career at ExxonMobil before joining Providence Resources plc, gaining extensive international experience across the full upstream lifecycle, from onshore production operations to deepwater frontier exploration.
He has led acquisitions and divestments, deepwater exploration programmes and complex commercial negotiations across Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and North America. His appointment reflects United's focus on ensuring the Company is operationally and commercially prepared as it advances the Walton-Morant farm-out process, while strengthening the management capability required to build and grow the business.
Donal is a former Chairperson of the Society of Petroleum Engineers ("SPE") Ireland Section and remains actively involved in industry development and technical excellence. He holds a First-Class Honours degree in Chemical Engineering from University College Dublin.
This appointment comes at a time when the Company prepares to enter a new phase in its development.
