Drilling Commences at Eagle Lake

In brief · summary, not quotable

Talon Resources plc has commenced its maiden diamond drilling campaign at the Eagle Lake gold project in Ontario, Canada, with the first hole targeting East Fornieri Bay, a high-priority area that previously yielded significant gold grades including 4.80m @ 4.47 g/t Au. The fully funded programme comprises 11 holes totalling 1,375m across four target areas, with assay results anticipated in batches following completion in Q3 and Q4 2026. This exploration aims to physically support high-grade gold mineralisation identified through proprietary machine learning platforms, positioning Eagle Lake favourably among national gold prospects.

Talon Resources plc (AIM: TAR), the North American gold exploration company, is pleased to announce that its maiden diamond drilling campaign has commenced at the Eagle Lake gold project in Ontario, Canada ("Eagle Lake" or the "Project").

The first hole is being drilled at East Fornieri Bay, the programme's highest-priority target, where Phase 1 channel sampling returned 4.80m @ 4.47 g/t Au including 1.0m @ 19.10 g/t Au and 1.85m @ 7.17 g/t Au including 0.50m @ 24.40 g/t Au (RNS: 22 July 2026).

The maiden programme comprises 11 diamond drill holes totalling 1,375m across five pads at four target areas: East Fornieri Bay, West Fornieri Bay, Cedar Trench and Moss Knoll. The programme is fully funded and is being managed by Critical Discoveries Corp., with Rodren Drilling Ltd. as drilling contractor.

Assay results are expected following programme completion and will be reported in batches as they are received.

Alex King, Chief Executive Officer, commented: "We are delighted to have the drill turning at Eagle Lake ahead of schedule. This is a fully funded programme, targeting some of the strongest gold prospects recognised in this part of the Wabigoon Subprovince, identified through our own exploration work and MINML's proprietary PRISM machine learning platform, which has been used to refine target selection and optimise drill hole placement. We believe the programme provides an important opportunity to test these targets and potentially advance our understanding of the Project's gold potential.

"MINML's work has demonstrated that 10 of the 16 cells covering the licence fall in the top one percent nationally for gold, placing Eagle Lake ahead of 62% of Canada's 242 past and present gold producers, which were scored on the same basis. The objective of this programme is to provide further physical support of this high-grade gold mineralisation, and we look forward to presenting our results over the remaining weeks of Q3 and into Q4 2026."
