Brookcourt Solutions secures two-year threat intelligence contract with expanded capabilities and user coverage, supporting the protection of GOV.UK services and UK citizens
Shearwater Group plc (AIM: SWG), the cybersecurity, advisory and managed security services group, is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Brookcourt Solutions ("Brookcourt"), has secured a new £1.7 million contract with an existing Central Government customer to provide advanced threat intelligence capabilities over a two-year period.
The contract replaces the customer's previous agreement following its expiry and broadens the scope of services provided, incorporating additional platform capabilities and covering a larger number of users. The contract was secured through G-Cloud 15, following the expansion of Brookcourt's offering under the framework, as announced on 6 August 2026.
Under the contract, Brookcourt will provide the Central Government department with an advanced threat intelligence platform, supporting its efforts to protect GOV.UK sites and services, UK citizens and its wider supply chain from cyber threats and fraudulent activity.
The platform provides intelligence that enables the department to identify and respond to potential cyber threats at an early stage and, where possible, take pre-emptive action before those threats impact government services or members of the public.
The contract demonstrates the increasing importance of proactive threat intelligence in protecting critical digital services. It also further strengthens Brookcourt's position within Central Government and its ability to deliver sophisticated cyber security technologies into highly sensitive and complex environments.
Phil Higgins, Group Chief Executive Officer of Shearwater Group plc, commented: "We are delighted to have secured this contract, building on our existing relationship with the department and expanding the capabilities and user coverage we support. The platform will help support the protection of GOV.UK services and the millions of UK citizens who interact with government digitally.
Cyber threats are becoming increasingly sophisticated, extending well beyond attacks on an organisation's own infrastructure. Threat intelligence provides the ability to identify many of the risks before they result in a successful attack, allowing organisations to take pre-emptive action.
This contract further strengthens Brookcourt's position as a trusted cyber security partner to Central Government and demonstrates our ability to deliver and support complex cyber security solutions within highly sensitive environments."
