New Contract Wins
Physiomics plc (AIM: PYC), a leading mathematical modelling, data science and biostatistics company supporting the development of new therapeutics and personalised medicine solutions, is pleased to announce that it has secured new contracts with a combined value of more than £205,000.
The new awards comprise work across the Company's complementary service lines and provide further evidence of strengthening demand for Physiomics' specialist capabilities.
Together with the contract awards announced by the Company since May 2026, these new contracts bring the aggregate value of awards secured during a period of a little over four months to more than £750,000.
Growing external interest
Alongside its contracted commercial work, Physiomics is seeing increasing interest in its specialist modelling capabilities, including from international research and clinical collaborations exploring novel approaches to cancer treatment.
The Board believes that this growing interest provides further evidence of the Company's strengthening profile and the relevance of its expertise in emerging areas of data-driven and personalised medicine.
The Company is also currently progressing a number of additional commercial and collaborative opportunities. Whilst, there can be no certainty that these discussions will result in contract awards or formal agreements, the Board is encouraged by both the quality and breadth of interest being received.
Physiomics intends to provide updates on these and other potential opportunities as appropriate and in due course.
Commercial and operational transition
The recent promotion of Jesse Thissen to Chief Operating Officer represents an important element of the Company's transition towards a more commercially focused, operationally disciplined and scalable organisation.
Since joining Physiomics and initially leading the development of its Biometrics service line, Jesse has played an important role in strengthening project delivery, internal processes and commercial execution. In his role as COO, he has responsibility for the Company's day-to-day operations and for helping translate its scientific and technical expertise into sustainable commercial growth.
The Board believes the pace of contract awards achieved during the past four months demonstrates the early impact of this transition and the increasingly commercial focus of the wider Physiomics team.
Mike Whitlow, Executive Director of Physiomics, commented: "Securing further contracted work represents another important step forward for Physiomics. In a little over four months, the Company has announced contract awards with a total value of more than £750,000, which is approximately 95% of the revenue reported for the whole of the financial year 2024-2025.
"While contract value is recognised as revenue over the relevant project delivery periods, the Board believes this level of new business provides a strong indication of the commercial progress being made by the Company.
"This progress reflects a substantial collective effort across the business. The Board has focused on providing clear oversight, strengthening commercial accountability and ensuring that the Company is positioned to pursue and deliver a broader range of opportunities.
"We are particularly encouraged that interest in Physiomics extends beyond conventional commercial engagements. The Company is increasingly being recognised as a potential contributor to ambitious international research and clinical collaborations in areas where predictive modelling, data science and personalised medicine are becoming increasingly important.
"A number of opportunities remain under discussion, and we look forward to updating shareholders as and when these progress to a stage at which further announcements are appropriate."
Jesse Thissen, Chief Operating Officer of Physiomics, commented: "The contract momentum achieved over recent months shows what this team can accomplish when scientific excellence, robust operational foundations and commercial execution work together. We have made meaningful progress, but we also recognise that this is only the beginning of the Company's next stage of development.
"Our increased focus on the commercial value of the business is not limited to winning new work. We are applying greater discipline across the organisation, including tighter cost control, more efficient deployment of resources and a sharper focus on the opportunities that we believe can generate the greatest value. Together with the commercial momentum we are building, these measures are intended to move Physiomics towards sustainable profitability and create a stronger platform for long-term growth.
"We are also well advanced with upgrades to our IT infrastructure, quality standards, and internal processes. These improvements are strengthening the security, consistency, and scalability of our operations, while enhancing our ability to compete for and deliver larger, more complex client engagements."
