Manitou Lakes Drilling Programme Commences
Panther Metals PLC (LSE:PALM) the company focused on mineral exploration in Canada, is pleased to announce the commencement of the inaugural Manitou Lakes Project diamond drilling programme which is targeting gold mineralisation at the Glass Reef Target (Figure 1).
The drilling rig and technical team have now arrived on the project and have commenced the drilling preparation work.
The planned diamond drilling programme has been designed to test a linear gold in soil anomaly delineated in the vicinity and along strike of the historical Glass Reef Mine which worked a quartz gold stockwork between the 1890s and 1912. The current planned programme will encompass up to six diamond drill holes over a 300m strike length.
The contractor Niigaani Drilling Incorporated will be utilising a CS1000 Diamond Drill rig for NQ (47.6mm) diameter core. Panther's Manitou Lakes Project option partner Shear Gold Exploration Corp. is providing geological oversight and logistical management.
The circa 122 km2 Manitou Lakes Project, is targeting gold on the Eagle-Manitou-Wabigoon Greenstone Belt, in northwestern Ontario, Canada.
