Kevin Parry OBE, Chairman, said:

"This year's AGM once again demonstrated the strength of engagement across our membership with our highest attendance in 15 years. I am pleased that members took the opportunity to vote and raise questions on a wide range of topics important to the future of the Society, and that the Board's recommendations received overwhelming support from them.

As a mutual, listening to and learning from all our members and their broad range of interests is fundamental to how we operate. The feedback we receive helps to inform the Board's decision making and ensures we continue to deliver the value, service and positive impact that helped Nationwide become one of the most trusted and fastest growing financial services brands in the UK.

This was my final AGM as Chairman, and I would like to thank members for their support for the Board over the past decade. Nationwide is in a position of great strength, and I remain confident in its continued success as the UK's standout mutual business, serving members with dedication to value and service."
