Shoei Litigation Conclusion
Nanoco Group PLC has settled its litigation with Shoei Chemical Inc. and Shoei Electronic Materials, Inc. under a definitive agreement where neither party will pay compensation, and each will bear their own costs. Nanoco has agreed not to sue Shoei, its customers, or suppliers for using Nanoco's Quantum Dot patents in the display field for existing and new patents over the next three years. Conversely, Shoei has covenanted not to sue Nanoco, its customers, or suppliers for using Shoei's Quantum Dot patents in the sensing field for existing and new patents over the same three-year period, with all other terms remaining confidential.

Nanoco Group plc (LSE: NANO), a world leader in the development and manufacture of cadmium-free quantum dots and other specific nanomaterials emanating from its technology platform, confirms that it has signed a definitive agreement with Shoei Chemical Inc. and Shoei Electronic Materials, Inc. (collectively, "Shoei") to settle the ongoing litigation between Shoei and Nanoco, following the binding term sheet being agreed between the parties as announced on 19th March 2026.
The definitive agreement confirms that no compensation will be payable by either party, and both parties will be responsible for their own costs incurred. Nanoco covenants not to sue Shoei, its customers, and suppliers for use of Nanoco's Quantum Dot ("QD") patents for the display field, for all existing and new patents registered over the next three years, and Shoei covenants not to sue Nanoco, its customers, and suppliers for use of Shoei's QD patents for the sensing field for all existing and new patents registered over the next three years. All other terms of the agreement are confidential.
