EXERCISE OF WARRANTS AND CORRECTION OF TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS

LONDON / VANCOUVER: 19 August 2026 - Mkango Resources Ltd. (AIM/TSX-V: MKA) ("Mkango" or "Company") announces that it has received an exercise notice from a Mkango warrant holder to exercise 800,000 warrants over common shares in the Company, at a price of seven (7) pence per common share. Accordingly, the Company will issue 800,000 common shares ("Warrant Shares") to satisfy this exercise.

The Warrant Shares will rank pari passu with the Company's existing common shares and application has been made for the Warrant Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM ("Admission"). It is expected that Admission will become effective and dealings in the Warrant Shares will commence at 8:00 am on or around 25 August 2026. The Warrant Shares will also be listed for trading on the TSX-V.

The Company further announces a correction to the total voting rights figure stated in the Company's previous announcement dated 22 July 2026, owing to a reconciliation error. In accordance with the Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules (DTR 5.6.1R) the Company hereby notifies the market that immediately following Admission, its issued and outstanding share capital will consist of 388,953,618 common shares. The Company does not hold any common shares in treasury. Shareholders may use this figure as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
