Light Science Technologies Holdings plc (AIM: LST), the innovative technology and manufacturing business providing real-world solutions targeting issues including fire safety and global food security, announces that its Contract Electronics Manufacturing division ("CEM"), has secured a follow-on order from the healthcare devices client it secured earlier in the year (see announcement dated 07 May 2026).
The Company has received an additional order from this customer, worth c. £342,000, with revenues expected to be recognised between November 2026 and February 2027. This is the customer’s first follow on order since LSTH won the contract, taking the order value to date to more than £500,000.
The CEM division is increasingly focusing on higher margin opportunities across a broad range of sectors including defence, medical and healthcare. To this end, the Company has recently invested c.£112,000 in Automated Optical Inspection equipment with built in AI, further enhancing the CEM division’s ability to manufacture smaller, more complex components, which are synonymous with its target markets.
Simon Deacon, CEO of LSTH commented: "I'm delighted with the continued momentum within the CEM division. Importantly we are establishing longer-term relationships with clients that have the ability to underpin repeat business opportunities, which is expected to result in increased visibility as we convert our pipeline. At the same time we are derisking this division, which is benefiting from increased capacity and improved efficiencies.
“Increasing levels of automation combined with higher level accreditations are underpinning the continued shift in revenue mix towards technically complex opportunities as we build long term relationships in higher-margin markets, positioning CEM for increasingly profitable growth.”
