Appointment of Non-Executive Director
KEFI Gold and Copper PLC announced the appointment of Maleda Bisrat as an independent Non-Executive Director and Alistair Clark as Senior Independent Director and Deputy Chairman, effective from the closing of the Company's Annual General Meeting. Ms. Bisrat brings extensive experience in Ethiopian economic reform and investment, while Mr. Clark, an existing Non-Executive Director, will take on expanded responsibilities. These appointments, along with the retirement of Richard Robinson, will result in a board composition of Harry Anagnostaras-Adams, John Leach, Alistair Clark, Addis Alemayehou, and Maleda Bisrat.

KEFI (AIM: KEFI), the gold and copper exploration and development company with projects in Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia, announces the appointment of Maleda Bisrat as an independent Non-Executive Director of the Company and Alistair Clark, an existing Non-Executive Director, as Senior Independent Director and Deputy Chairman, with effect from the closing of the Company's Annual General Meeting ("AGM"), to be held later today.
Ms Bisrat is the Ethiopian Country Director at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, leading a multidisciplinary team working closely with the government on economic reform, investment, job creation, and digital transformation. Prior to this, she was an adviser to the Ethiopian Investment Commission supporting industrialisation, investment promotion and climate initiatives.
Maleda is also a Non-Executive Director of Financial Sector Deepening Ethiopia, an agency that is helping develop accessible, inclusive and sustainable financial markets for economic growth and development, and a Non-Executive Director of Zebidar Foundation, an organisation committed to improving quality of education for students living in underserved communities.
Mr Clark, who joined the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director on 1 July 2023, continues as Chair of the Remuneration Committee and member of the Audit and Financial Risk Committee.

Following the appointment of Ms Bisrat and Richard Robinson's retirement as Non-Executive Director of the Company at the conclusion of today's AGM, the KEFI board will comprise: Harry Anagnostaras-Adams (Executive Chairman), John Leach (Finance Director), Alistair Clark (Senior Independent Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chairman), Addis Alemayehou (Non-Executive Director) and Maleda Bisrat (Non-Executive Director).
