Statement regarding offer for Capricorn Energy plc (“Capricorn”)

Genel Energy PLC has noted the recommended cash acquisition of Capricorn Energy plc by DNO Bidco AS and is currently considering its position, with a further announcement to follow. This statement comes after Genel's own firm intention to make an offer for Capricorn announced on July 2, 2026, and DNO's potential offer announced on August 7, 2026, placing Genel in two offer periods simultaneously. Capricorn shareholders are advised to take no action regarding the DNO Offer at this time.
