Peak Hill Phase 2 Drilling at Curley’s Completed
Forgent plc has completed the initial phase of its Phase II drilling program at the Peak Hill Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia, with 18 holes totaling 710 metres drilled at Curley's, and has now commenced drilling at the Cathedral prospect. The Curley's drilling aimed to assess the continuity and scale of identified gold and copper mineralization, with samples now awaiting assay. The larger Cathedral prospect, identified through geological and geophysical data, will be tested with 112 planned holes as part of the overall Phase II program, which is expected to comprise 130 holes for approximately 8,700 metres.

Forgent plc (AIM: FORG), the Australian-focused critical and precious minerals explorer, is pleased to announce the successful completion of the first component of its Phase II drilling programme at its 99%-owned Peak Hill Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia, with 18 holes for 710 metres now completed at Curley's. Drilling at the Cathedral prospect started over the weekend.
A total of 18 holes for 710 metres have been completed at Curley's, with drilling designed to test the continuity and scale of the gold and copper mineralisation identified during the Company's Phase I programme. Samples from Curley's will now be submitted for assay.
The rig has now moved to the Cathedral prospect, where 112 holes are planned across a large, previously undrilled target area. The prospect has been identified through the Company's interpretation of geological and geophysical data, together with anomalous surface gold results, and lies between the existing Curley's and Junction prospects.
The overall Phase II programme is expected to comprise 130 holes for approximately 8,700 metres of drilling.
James Parsons, Chief Executive Officer of Forgent, commented:
"Completing the 18-hole programme at Curley's marks the first milestone in our substantial Phase II drilling campaign at Peak Hill.
At Curley's, we have built on the encouraging gold and copper mineralisation identified in Phase I, with the programme designed to help us understand its continuity and potential scale.
The rig has now moved to Cathedral, which represents the principal discovery opportunity within this phase of drilling. It is a large, previously undrilled target and we are not testing it tentatively - we are planning 112 holes designed to test it systematically and at scale.
The drill bit is turning, samples are beginning to move through the assay process, and we look forward to updating shareholders as the geological picture develops."
