CRISM Therapeutics Corporation (AIM: CRTX), a UK clinical-stage drug delivery company focused on the localised and sustained delivery of chemotherapy drugs, is holding its Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) today at 11am at the office of Fieldfisher LLP. At the meeting, CRISM’s Non-Executive Chair, Charles Spicer will make the following statement:

The Company is in a strong financial position following the oversubscribed fundraise in May, supplemented by non-dilutive grant awards from both Innovate UK and Invest Northern Ireland. These awards endorse the quality of our science and, together with the fundraise, ensure that CRISM is well resourced to deliver on its near-term clinical objectives.

The Company has made significant progress in 2026. In glioblastoma, we secured FDA Orphan Drug Designation for irinotecan-ChemoSeed which, combined with our MHRA Innovation Passport, supports its development and commercial appeal. Our first NHS clinical trial site was formally activated in August, marking CRISM’s transition from clinical preparation into active patient recruitment. In parallel, our docetaxel-ChemoSeed programme for advanced prostate cancer has progressed, supported by encouraging pre-clinical data and dedicated grant funding to support the next stage of development.

Patient recruitment for our registration-grade Phase 2 clinical trial is now underway at our lead clinical site. Candidates are identified and assessed through weekly meetings of a multidisciplinary team comprising neurosurgeons, oncologists, radiologists and pathologists. The initial phase of the study involves patients with recurrent glioblastoma, with specific surgical eligibility criteria that can extend recruitment timelines, compared to less complex indications. We are working closely with our clinical investigators and treating the first patient remains our immediate priority.

The Board is confident in ChemoSeed's potential to deliver established chemotherapy directly to solid tumours. This year's clinical, regulatory and scientific progress reflects the strength of the technology and the team behind it. Our focus is on treating glioblastoma patients and demonstrating the clinical benefit that we believe irinotecan-ChemoSeed can deliver for those with this devastating disease. The Board thanks its shareholders and key stakeholders for their continued support and looks forward to providing further updates regarding the clinical trial in the coming weeks.

The Company's LEI is 213800XFW6MKVCHHPW88.
