Arkle Resources PLC (LSE:ARK), the energy metals explorer advancing a uranium discovery in Namibia, draws investors' attention to a recent interview with Chief Executive Officer Rory Harding, conducted by Roast PR for The Sunday Roast. The full interview can be heard here: https://youtu.be/rI10R7v98OY.
The interview covers recent drilling results at the uraniferous leucogranite ("ULG") target, confirming uranium mineralisation across a substantial area, including higher-grade sheets, with the system remaining open at depth. It also discusses uranium mineralisation identified along 2.9 km of the Paleo East channel, with significant exploration potential remaining, and the project's proximity to major uranium deposits in the Erongo region.
Rory also highlights the favourable uranium market backdrop, including a growing supply deficit and record long-term prices, alongside Namibia's position as the world's third-largest uranium producer with established mining infrastructure. The drilling results referred to were announced by the Company on 12 and 13 October 2026.
Interview Highlights
ULG target
- Uranium Discovery At The ULG Target: the first drilling beneath the trenched leucogranite sheets intersected uranium above 100 parts per million (ppm) of uranium oxide (U₃O₈) in eight of nine holes, across approximately 1.4 km by 0.6 km, matching the surface footprint. Hole R069 returned 41 m at 141 ppm U₃O₈ from 59 m to the end of the hole, including 4 m at 240 ppm and 2 m at 247 ppm.
- Higher-Grade Sheets, Open At Depth: sixteen one-metre samples from five holes exceed 200 ppm U₃O₈, with individual metres grading up to 421 ppm U₃O₈. Three holes end in mineralisation, mineralisation has been intersected to almost 200 m downhole, and the system remains open at depth.
- Next To Major Uranium Deposits: the Paleo East channel runs down the same drainage to French state-owned Orano's Trekkopje deposit (340 million tonnes at about 120 ppm U₃O₈), about 10 km away, and the ULG target is in the deposit style that hosts the Rössing and Husab mines. The thick ULG intercepts are of the same order as the average grades of the region's development projects, Asarian Energy's Norasa (TSX: ARN), Bannerman Energy's Etango (ASX: BMN) and Deep Yellow's Omahola (ASX: DYL), which report resources at cut-off grades of 100 ppm U₃O₈ or lower and average grades of about 135 to 225 ppm U₃O₈. No Mineral Resource has been estimated on Arkle's licences.
Paleochannel
- Uranium Along 2.9 km Of The Paleo East Channel: uranium on six of the ten fences drilled across the channel, with every mineralised interval starting within 5 m of surface. The best interval was 6 m at 102 ppm U₃O₈ from surface in hole R057, including 4 m at 136 ppm U₃O₈.
- Substantial Channel Still To Test: only about 23% of the 12.7 km channel has been tested, with at least three further paleochannel targets identified. The channel shares a drainage with Trekkopje.
Market backdrop
- Supply Gap: reactors require around 69,000 tonnes of uranium (tU) a year against mine production of around 60,000 tU (World Nuclear Association), a shortfall of roughly 13% currently met from inventories and other secondary supplies.
- Record Long-Term Price, Why Namibia: the long-term uranium price reached US$96.50/lb for September 2026 (Cameco, average of UxC and TradeTech), above the previous peak of US$95/lb in 2007. Namibia is the world's third largest uranium producer, with established infrastructure.
Rory Harding, Chief Executive Officer, commented:
"With both of the region's deposit styles now confirmed on Arkle's licences, our priority is to turn the ULG discovery into a resource. The follow-up drilling programme is fully funded and designed to test the system at depth, at closer spacing and along strike, building the dataset we need to progress towards a maiden Mineral Resource estimate.
All this is happening against a supportive backdrop. The long-term uranium price has moved above its 2007 high, and Namibia is a jurisdiction where the infrastructure, the operators and the investors are already in place. We are exploring alongside world-class uranium deposits, and we have a clear plan to keep trenching, sampling and drilling across both the ULG and paleochannel targets.
I would encourage shareholders to listen to this full interview, and to look out for an updated corporate presentation, which I will present at a webinar, with details to be announced shortly."
